The majority of women with regular menstrual cycles coming every 26-35 days are ovulating regularly at least 96% of the time. It is when cycles are outside this range that ovulation may not be occurring in a predictable manner. Some women with polycystic ovarian syndrome can have regular bleeding episodes but not be ovulating properly.
